Nike launched the Nike SB line in March of 2002 at the start of the rise of the Skateboarding trend. For years in California, the skate culture was very popular and skateboarding shoes and clothes were worn more as casual wear than by actual skateboarders.The “Brain Wreck” Nike SB Dunk High was created in a joint effort between Todd Bratrud (designer of the Send Help Dunk Low) and the Familia Skateshop that’s located in Minneapolis.The sneaker is made of mostly grey suede with pink leather covering the toe box and tongue, a white midsole, and comes with two pairs of laces: white and blue. Other details include, white letter wrapping around the heel that says “Brain” on the left shoe and “Wreck” on the right, as well as some cool graphic designs on the insoles that show a cartoon brain crashing into a pink street light during the night. There’s also a matching shirt and hat.
