Every two years, NIKE, Inc. commits a festival to showcase basketball leading brands within its portfolio which includes Converse, Jordan Brand, and Nike Basketball. Five days from now, the city of New York will be witnessing an exclusive and dynamic event that will showcase members of the 2010 USA Basketball National Team on an open-air court performance at Times Square and final games of the weekend between four of the best teams in the world. Exhibitions will feature team USA vs team France and China vs Puerto Rico.

One of the venues of the games and warm-ups will be the Rucker Park. Other activities that are scheduled are music arts performances by top international groups, and grassroots youth tournament serving as the championships for some of New York’s top summer basketball leagues. Participants from the audience will be encouraged for basketball training skills.The exhibition games to be performed by the four teams is a preparation for the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey, while the event itself is designed to connect the global world of basketball to celebrate the sport and leave a lasting legacy within the community.
