When you go and visit the town of Baja, California, you will notice of the huge signs above every bar, restaurant and market where the Tecate is sold. For the Bajacalifornian people, the Tecate Beer has been a symbol and it is the town’s pride for years. This Mexican cervesa originally brewed as a sideline by a man living in Baja, California and later named it after the town.
If there’s an inspiration, there’s always a conception just as how Nike capitalized the looks of the Tecate beer. From this idea, Nike came up with a new design that was later implemented on the Nike Dunk High Pro. This quickstrike release features the Nike Dunk High wearing red suede mudguard, lace panel, and heel with black premium leather toe box and ankle collar. The Tecate’s main influence appears on the midpanel wrapped in gold. To flair it up, silver stripes were applied but for no exact reason. Red leather makes up the Swoosh mounted on white premium leather. The Shoe laces and inner liner go together in light brown shade, just enough to complement the brownish sole unit.
